Social Impact is part of the institutional mission of Federico II University, today also subject to evaluation.

Social Impact is “ …opening up to the socio-economic context through the valorisation and transfer of knowledge, which includes, in addition to the economic valorisation of research activities, also initiatives with a socio-cultural and educational value… ” .

The universities as a whole are evaluated by the MIUR through the VQR-Terza Missione, through the Cases/Studies presented by the individual departments.

Various TM activities are indicated in the three-year programme. We have focused on Public Engagement (PE) also considering the results of the call made in the University for the VQR-TM.

In the strategic plan, one of the 4 areas is that of Social Impact and one of the 8 objectives is to increasingly be an Engaged University.
